Submitting a print job
Using a Word Processor, Paint or Label Program (like Microsoft Word, Wordpad, Bear Rock Labeler, etc) create a layout that looks approximately like the ticket you want. Microsoft Word works fine for tickets without barcodes or rotated upside down printing. There are programs that will allow you to add barcodes to a Word document.
The best software we have found to produce a ticket layout are the bar code labeling programs. Our favorite is 'Bear Rock Bar Code Labeler' by Bear Rock Technologies. However, they are out of business. Other recommended programs are:
- LabelGo by Bokai Corporation
- Label Magic by Ichiku Software
- LabelWorks by American Microsystems
A sample 'Bear Rock Label' program screenshot and actual ticket produced from that program are shown on the samples' page. Use a 300 dpi printer as your default printer setting so it will match our output. You may use any fonts you desire. Barcodes or number sequences can be added for security reasons. Add any logos, images or clip art you want on the ticket. Note: do not use color images - everything is printed in black and white.
If you delevoped your artwork in Microsoft Word then simply save the document and email it to us at sales@customtix.com.
If you use one of the barcode labeling programs then be aware that they each save the artwork in their own unique format. You can try sending us that file but unless we have the program we probably won't be able to use it. Take a screenshot of your artwork by pressing the 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard. That puts an image of your desktop in your Clipboard where it can be pasted into a word document or email letter. If you are using Microsoft Outlook and want to paste the screenshot directly into your email then make sure to select 'Actions' then 'New Mail Message Using' then 'HTML'. This enables us to see the screenshot in the email. If you are using special logos or images we may need you to send us those picture files so we can insert them on the ticket.
Another option is to take a digital or scanned picture of a ticket you want reproduced or a hand drawn picture and email that as well.
Include the size, color and number of the tickets you want to order with all submissions.
Approval process
We will produce a real ticket and take a scanned picture of it. Note: we use the finest ticket stock and thermal ticket printer on the market. We will email you back a picture file containing the ticket sample and the cost for producing the rest of your order.
Payment process
If it meets your approval, then send us a check or money order for the amount (sorry, no credit cards accepted at this time). Checks are made out to CUSTOMTIX. Once the check clears, you will be shipped the tickets. There is no shipping charge for standard ground delivery. Special shipping methods can be arranged.
